Letter of General Interest PT. 1969 Pg. 79

Dear Bro. Jolly: Loving greetings in Jesus' name!...

...Sister was faithful to the end. Her consecration dated from some time before 1914, so it is possible that she will be given a reward in the spiritual phase of the kingdom...

Your brother by God's grace, R. E. Armstrong.

The difference is:
PT 2006 page 40 give:
THE APOSTLE PETER aptly describes religious leaders who prey on God’s people, as a wolf scatters the flock and seeks the life blood of the sheep. They despise authority as ordained by the Lord and falsely accuse and rail against His messengers (2 Pet. 2:10-21): “They despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,”
and
PT 1948 page 167 col.1:

further (still)
PT 2006 page 41 give:
Going back to the illustration of the dog, [1948 PT p. 165 col. 1] we see a difference between this condition of willfulness and the one in which the New Creature might be temporarily overtaken in a fault and his dog, so to speak, break loose and bite some one. The dog would get a whipping, and apologies would be made to the person injured and things made good so far as possible. The one who approves of his dog’s going out and biting his brethren or neighbors has evidently lost the Spirit of Christ which he once had.
and
PT 1948 page 165 cpl.1:
"Going back to the illustration of the dog [our body, our flesh]: It is when we feel that there is some provocation for letting down the chain, so that the dog can do some good with his teeth—that there is somebody that ought to be bitten—that is the time when we throw ourselves open to danger. We are slow to learn that the dog is not to bite anybody; he is not to bite the friends of the family, nor the enemies of the family. He is to be kept chained all the time. Then, as to how much the dog may bark: You can readily see what that would mean. That is evil speaking. If the dog keeps on barking he will annoy not only the family, but also the neighbors and friends and even the enemies. This is an absolute command: 'Speak evil of no man'—not only of no man in the church, but of no man outside the church; and in this case, the man includes the woman."

This is the present so called Leaderschif.

1908-1911/1948-1951 siftings

Many Brethren in America say thanks for showing other changes made to the writings of God's Leaders.

I was in attendance at this discourse in Chicago and it lasted about 2-1/2 hrs.

The original article was printed in its entirety in the 1948 PT. This article should have been reprinted in its unembellished form and entirety.

In the 2006 PT the editor starts with parallel number 12. Why were the first 11 parallels left out? The first 5 Parallels as follows:

(1) The dates so far are exactly parallel. The 1908-1911 sifting started in Feb., 1908 in a marked way, coming to the front in June, 1908 and generally into the open by the Fall of 1908. The 1948-1951 sifting so far has counterpart dates just 40 years later; for it was in Feb., 1948 that the Philadelphia Church, tiring of hearing the first chief leader of the present sifting continuously praise himself and extol his own virtues,…

(2) “In both siftings the trouble started at the Truth headquarters. Incidentally, this was not in the present sifting at the Jehovah's Witnesses' headquarters, nor at the P.B.I., the Dawn, or any other Levite head-quarters. This is, incidentally, an encouraging corroboration of where the corresponding Truth movement of the present time really is; for the 40-years parallel sifting broke out at the Epiphany Truth headquarters in Philadelphia, in Feb., 1948”…

(3) In the 1908 sifting it was that Servant's private secretary and his wife that led the sifting; and in the 1948 sifting it was the Epiphany messenger's private secretary and his wife that led the sifting…

(4) The love of Mammon, money, position, power, self, was the root of the evil in the start of both these siftings. Notice St. Paul's admonition in 1 Tim. 6: 7-11…

(5) Immoralities and the Special Vow marked the 1908 sifting; and immoralities and something that corresponds to the Vow mark the present sifting. Prior to and during the fifth Parousia sifting immoralities were rampant among Truth circles, from the Bible House and the pilgrims on down the line…

(6) Murmursome Contradictionism was the slaughter weapon in the 1908-1911 sifting and it is Murmursome Contradictionism that is particularly active now during the 1948-1951 sifting. It began at the Epiphany Bible House…

(7) Evil-speaking is the next great similarity between the two siftings, starting at the Bible House in both cases. There was a scandal spread about the Parousia Messenger by false brethren, early in the Parousia's fifth sifting, and the whisperings became so prevalent that he called the Bethel family all together, telling them that it was reported and whispered about that he had been seen holding a sister in his lap and that he was not fit to be in charge of the Lord's work…

(8) Now for our eighth parallel: A supine worshiping of angels; in other words, a lack of proving things for oneself. In the 1908-1911 sifting many were mere respecters of persons and "followed the leader," regardless of who that leader might be…

(9) Suave professions on the part of the sifters marked the 1908 sifting. They extolled their own virtues; they posed as too holy to do some of the things they charged against the Lord's special servant and his supporters; they were very sanctimonious; they lamented the Pastor's loss of the Lord's Spirit and the precious Truth (?) on the Covenants, the Mediator, etc.; and they prayed the Lord in their pseudo-piety to restore the Pastor from his spiritual illness to their ideas of proper health! How magnanimous and devout and loving these sifters were! And many of the poor blinded sheeplings that had not grazed in the Lord's green pastures properly, were swept away by such shams and hypocrisies! Indeed, Satan can most adroitly and cunningly transform himself into an angel of light!

(10) Similarities in the conduct of business meetings were occasions for stumbling in both of these parallel siftings…

(11) One of the great tests during the 1908-1911 sifting was: Is Pastor Russell really "that wise and faithful servant?...
